RAOD TRIP snacks
I love road trips. Driving on roads we've never been on, seeing new landscapes, and watching the sunset with a different backdrop. It is an opportunity to get out of the daily routine, go someplace different, visit friends, or ride a new ski area or mountain bike trail. Packing a bag or cooler with good snacks make sticking to a healthy food plan much easier. It can be hard to find snacks on a desert road...

Best road trip snacks:
Beef Jerky (check the ingredient list and be weary of sugar and other additives)
Raw nuts (try almonds, macadamia, or brazil nut~packed with selenium)
Seed based granola
Fresh fruit (tangelos and apples travel well)
Peas, carrots, and sliced cucumbers in a favorite dip like guacamole, hummus, or beet tapenade
Kale or Brussel sprout chips
Dark chocolate~ look for 70% chocolate to minimize sugar intake
Water (sparkling water is a good way to mix it up)
